Dear Neighbor,
Thank you to those of you who have already submitted your Save SCC Resident Authorization allowing us to represent you in our efforts to protect our green spaces and golf courses before the County and other government entities. Your support means everything; a large community voice with significant numbers is compelling.
Our recreational areas and open green spaces in Sun City Center, and specifically the North Lakes course, are under threat of residential re-development by ClubLink and 13th Floor Homes. To stop this, we must band together and speak with one unstoppable voice. SaveSCC is ready to fight for our community, but we need you to register your household today to make our representation official and secure County status.
If you’ve already registered, thank you!
If you haven’t registered yet, please do it now!
Please note: Even if you registered before August 2026 for our emails or petition, you must complete this Resident Authorization form for us to obtain legal standing.
Why Your Registration Matters
- Official County Status: Registering enables Save SCC to earn designation from Hillsborough County Neighborhood Relations as a Certified Neighborhood Organization. This grants us special status and automatic priority notices on all zoning and land-use matters.
- A Seat at the Table: Your registration gives SaveSCC the legal standing to represent you and speak on behalf of the whole community at public hearings, on the public record, and in court proceedings regarding our golf courses.
- Power in Numbers: The County requires at least 50% of SCC households to register for certified status. Exceeding this threshold proves overwhelming community opposition to county officials and developers. While the County seeks one resident per household, that forum is not the only venue for this fight, and we need everyone – all residents – whether owners, renters, or tenants, and all owners whether occupying the property or absentee.
How to Register Immediately
- Option 1: Online (Strongly Preferred)
Visit SaveSCC.org and click on the dark green button labeled “Submit Resident Authorization” or scan the QR code on our materials. Registering online is quick, accurate, and saves our volunteer team from manually processing forms.
Please understand that our online system is new and custom built for our purposes. It is preloaded with property data from the Hillsborough County Property Appraiser’s database. We periodically load updates to address property sales and changes, loading all streets in SCC and KP based on the association’s published maps, which are not always complete or correct so we may encounter data that needs updating. Please let us know. We are doing the best we can with what we have and bear with us. Advise us of any issues via email to volunteering@savescc.org and will work to address any issues or concerns.
- Option 2: Paper Registration Form
You can pick up and submit a paper form at the Sun City Center Security Patrol office (1225 N Pebble Beach Blvd), the Sun City Center Emergency Squad (720 Ray Watson Dr), or at a SaveSCC event like our Second Saturday Open Houses (10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Oct 10, Nov 14, and Dec 12 in the Armstrong Room, 953 North Course Ln). Completed forms can be deposited at these sites or mailed to:
Save SCC, PO BOX 5410, Sun City Center, FL 33571-5410
Every household, resident, tenant and homeowner counts, provided you are a KP or SCC association member residing in or owning property in the community. The form asks you to specify your status.
You are not relinquishing any of your property rights. Your authorization allows us to speak on your behalf regarding the golf courses and costs you nothing but a few minutes of your time and means everything.
Please help us protect our community by registering today and sharing this information with your neighbors to get them registered as well!
Please consider joining us at our next Save SCC Second Saturday Open House next Saturday, Oct 10 from 10 am to 12 noon in the Armstrong and Heritage Rooms on the Central Campus at 951 & 953 North Course Ln to complete your Resident Authorization, ask questions, or just see what is happening and how you can contribute.
If you are physically fit and would consider canvassing as a last resort in your neighborhood to ensure we reach everyone, please consider becoming a Save SCC Neighborhood Captain and serving as our boots on the ground in your neighborhood later this fall and next spring. We are trying to meet our objective of 50% of the households by people self-registering but we will go door to door to reach those we fail to engage. See us at Second Saturday or connect with us via email at vounteering@savescc.org to learn more or volunteer.
Our pilot program and training schedule for registered Neighborhood Captains is as follows:
