Save SCC Green Spaces Status – March 3, 2025

Ellie’s Notes – Save Sun City Center – March 3, 2025

Hello fellow Sun City Center friends, neighbors and interested parties. Hope you are enjoying this fabulous weather.

We are well underway with our preparations for our booth at Fun Fest 2025 this Saturday.  We will be in the red section in booth 58 and are looking forward to seeing and speaking with you.

I am asking you to attend a special, public SAVE SCC meeting on March 27, 2025 in the Rollins Theatre at 901 Cherry Hill Dr. to educate, inform and discuss our situation and how together we can rise up and defeat any development initiatives on SCC golf courses. Bring your friends!

It’s important to get everyone on board, up to speed and working for our success. This is a litmus test of your resolve!

Attached is the .pdf of a postcard we have at the printers for distribution at Fun Fest. We’ll be asking supporters to distribute these postcards around town to promote the meeting. You get the idea!

I also plan on an article in the Observer the week of March 20th as well.

I have been in touch with our County Commissioner’s office – Christine Miller, District 4 Commissioner, this over the last couple of weeks and since November,  to continue to seek support for our cause and clarification as to our plans and strategies to thwart any development submissions to the County.

But the key ingredient to keeping our golf course green is all of you. We must rise up together, do the work, be vigilant and thwart any proposed development project ClubLink tries to pursue to protect and preserve our green spaces, wildlife, scenic vistas, roads, infrastructure, quality of life, finances and health.

27 % of the homes, or 1,788 properties in Sun City Center Community Association’s geography, back up to golf courses. It’s everyone’s fight for the future of our awesome town!

Looking forward to seeing you Saturday between 9 and 2 at Fun Fest 2025!

Please share this email with your neighbor and friends. Getting the word out and people registered on our website for email communications is critical to keeping everyone informed.

Best regards,

Ellie Anderson
